The Seat of Destiny
Lanliss Sternoak, a.k.a. Mizu Mot-Kuru, Theurge of Nethys
A Mystic Theurge and graduate of the Korvosan Acadamae Magica
Lanliss is originally from Magnimar, however due to his father falling out of disfavor with other members of his circle of friends, moved the family to Korvosa to avoid any unpleasentries. Lanliss’ family never wanted for money as his father was a famous wizard who crafted magic weapons and armor for a living. And his mother was an archaeologist who’s main interest was history of the Thassalonian empire. When Lanliss would come of age to decide what he wanted to do, he joined the Acadamae Magica, and not only earned one degree there, but two, training as both an Archivist and a Wizard. This made his father very proud to have him continue the family tradition. However, Lanliss had some of his mother’s sense of wonder at finding ancient sites, so he then started to lead archaeology expeditions. During his time at the Acadamae, Lanliss stumbled upon an ancient text which spoke of the grand library and kingdom of Roac. By all of Lanliss estimations the ruins should lie somewhere in what is now referred to as the Cinderlands of Varisia. Lanliss spent the last 4 years of his life amond the desert dwelling Zensunni who made him an official member of the Stone Eagle tribe, and gave him the Zensunni name Mizu Mot-Kuru(which means the water bringer in their language). He spent all of this time searching for any clues of the where abouts of Roac. However recently Lanliss heard the news of goblin attacks on the city of Sand Point, but of more significance is the ancient Thassalonian ruins rumored to have been discovered underneath the glassworks of that city. Lanliss returned to the more civil lands and if making all haste to Sand Point to see if he can gain access and inspect the ruins for himself.
